No 89 first makes it appearance in 1796 in Timakeel with William Dillion as Master. In 1800 George Morrow succeeded him, and in 1819 James Stewart became Master, William Fox following in 1820.
At that time the number had arrived in Portadown and Daniel Bulla became Master in 1882, being succeeded in 1832 by George Pepper, Esq, and in 1837 by Rev Charles King-Irwin, who held the position until 1843.
In 1844 we find the lodge in Battlehill, with William Hoy as Master. In the following year (1845) it was in Derryhale, James McClatchey being Master and William Cullen DM. James McClatchey occupied the chair until 1848. Henry Brownlee was DM, and John Young secretary during most of that period.
From 1849 until 1861 Thomas Hoy was Master; and then after being dormant for a few years it appears at Cock Hill, Tartaraghan, in 1867, with William Gardiner as Master. He was succeeded by 1868, Wilson Gardiner; 1869, W McCulla; 1870-71, George Robinson; 1872, William J Gardiner; 1873-5, Samuel Todd; 1876-7, Thomas Stevenson; 1878-83, William J Gardiner. In the latter years Samuel P Morrow was secretary, and Samuel McAteer treasurer.
The number appears to have been dormant from 1884 until 1889, when we find William Best (Killicomaine) Master; John Magee, DM; and John Ewart, secretary. In 1893 it took the name Rehabs True Blues, and had new bye-laws confirmed by the Grand Lodge. William Best continued to occupy the chair until his death on September 7th, 1916. John Ewart was secretary from 1889 except for some years when it was held by W J England, who died in October, 1935, at Mount Verdant, Kilkenny, where he went a few years after. The next secretaries were J Annesley (1899), George Thompson (1900-1), and Thomas Ryans (1902). In 1903 the secretary was James Gibson, who went to Canada about 1906, where he became a clergyman of the Episcopal Church. He was succeeded in 1904 by W H England who held the position until 1912.
William Reid was treasurer in 1897-8; E McNally, 1899-1900; W J Lisk, 1901-7.
William Best who was also for many years District Treasurer, was succeeded by William John Lisk, who had been Deputy Master, and who held the office until 1918.
Robert Downey, who had been Deputy Master in 1918, became WM in 1919, with Samuel Fergus as DM, while James Dermott, who had been secretary from 1916 until 1919, became Master in 1920, a position which he held for two years, with W H England as Deputy Master, James Armstrong succeeding to the secretaryship.
In 1922 John Palmer was Master, with James Mullen as DM.
David Robinson, who had been treasurer since 1908, became Master in 1923, with Thomas Preston, DM; and Joseph Kerr, secretary.

W. H. Wolsey, the author of Orangeism in Portadown District, was a member of this lodge fulfilling the post of Worshipful Master in 1945 and again in 1953.
During World War II the following brethren saw active service in His Majesty's Forces: John Campbell (HMS Centurion), Fred Harvey (Roval Air Force). Harry McKerr and C. H. Rock.
In 1943 Bro. E. J. Hewitt was appointed SDC of the Ulster Special Constabulary in Portadown.
Members of the lodge unfurled a new bannerette on 9 July 1958 at Carleton Street Orange Hall. The ceremony was chaired by Bro. Herbert Whitten, whilst the unfurling of the bannerette was performed by Bro. J. Dermott.
In 1959 W. H, Wolsey became Mayor of Portadown, receiving the compliments of LOL 89 for his services to the brethren whilst being a member of the Council.
LOL 89 which sat in Carleton Street Orange Hall became dormant in the late 1980s.
