Portadown District parade towards the tunnel and down Obin Street

Above is a picture of the Portadown Orangemen parading down Woodhouse Street to the 'Tunnel' and going down Obin Street. This picture was took in 1961-62.

The band leading the parade is Corcain Silver Band. On the left with a coat over his arm is Jack McGuinness, front right with bible is Walker Whitten and the gentleman with the chain is from Canada. The 10th Orangeman on the right is Harry Jones.

Interestingly at the top left there is only one RUC officer policing the whole parade.
