The members of Causanagh Orange Lodge near
Loughgall will have a double celebration in the Twelfth
season with a brand new Orange Hall. The original was
burned to the ground in March 2003, and the members vowed
they would build bigger and better. And to celebrate the
historic renewal of the hall, they are having it offically
opened by the oldest member of their lodge - LOL 98 -
Mr Robert Robinson. The ceremony will be on a night prior
to the Twelfth and the brethren will parade from the village
out to the hall, about a mile-and-a-half away, perform
the ceremony and parade back. The Worshipful Master Mr
Billy Anderson said at the time they would re-build the
hall bigger and better for a thriving lodge that was attracting
new members all the time.
