Orange Hall targeted by republicans
An Orange Hall has been damaged in an arson attack in north Belfast by republicans full of hate for all things Protestant and loyal order related.
The Orange hall at Whitewell Road, Greencastle, had its doors forced open and petrol had been poured in and set alight.
Smoke and scorch damage was caused to the door and an area inside the building.
A number of items have been removed for forensic examination by the PSNI.
Orange Order County Master Dawson Bailie condemned the attack. "Such attempts to intimidate the Orange Institution through threats and violence have failed for 35 years and will continue to fail," he said.
Once again republicans attack the Orange Order in another 'hate crime' as they have no tolerance of the Orange Order or what it stands, 'Civil and Religious Liberty is the right of every man, woman and child regardless of their religious affiliations. Once again republicans show their true twisted hatred face as they attack the Protestant people and the loyal orders.
Again militant republicanism attacks those working within the local community as they strive to help their community and build bridges across the sectarian divide. Shame on them. As they will never ever defeat the Protestant people of Northern Ireland or destroy the Orange Institution. Our cry in 1690 was 'No Surrender' our cry today for all militant republicans is 'No Surrender'.
