Paint bomb attack on Orange Hall slammed

The Orange Order has condemned a paint bomb attack in the early hours of Sunday morning at Banbridge Orange Hall, County Down, which has suffered two other similar attacks since it was built in 1998.

A tin of paint was thrown against the wall surrounding the building and inside railings onto the surrounding pathway. A spokesman for the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland described the attack as "mindless hooliganism." He said "The Banbridge Hall serves as much more than just a meeting place for the local Orange Lodge. It hosts many social activities including children's activities. The attack on the hall wasn't just aimed at Orangemen, it was an attack on an entire community. Those responsible should be truly ashamed of themselves."
