Republicans burn Donaghadee Orange Hall

A Co Down seaside town has lost a vital community resource as an Orange hall in County Down has been badly damaged in an early morning fire.

Damage to the building at the junction of Moat Street and Union Street in the centre of Donaghadee was said to be extensive.

A police spokesperson said the fire was discovered shortly before 0300 BST on Friday.

The DUP assembly member for North Down, Alex Easton, said he was shocked at the "truly horrifying destruction" caused by the fire.

"This Orange hall plays a vital role in the community and it is tragic to witness what has occurred," he said.

"I call on everyone who can help the police to do so in any way possible."

Once again hate filled republicans show the hatred they have for others cultures if they are not pro-republican.
